Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers for bidders, consignors, families, and businesses planning a liquidation.

1. Bidding & Registration
We host our online catalogs through HiBid. To bid on any of our sales, you will need a HiBid account. Here is how the registration process works:

1. Find the Auction: Visit our auction catalog page and click "Register to Bid" on the event.

2. Create or Log into Your Account: If you are new to HiBid, click "Sign Up" to register using your email address, Google, or Apple account. You will enter a username and complete a quick email verification code step.

3. Add a Payment Method: Enter a valid credit or debit card. HiBid uses this to verify your identity and automatically settle winning invoices.

4. Choose Delivery Preferences & Agree to Terms: Select your preferred pickup or shipping options, read through our specific Terms and Conditions, and click Complete Registration.
Yes, a standard buyer's premium of 17% is added to the final hammer price of each winning lot. Please factor this into your maximum bidding limit.
All bids are legally binding contracts. Once a bid is placed, it cannot be retracted or canceled. Please review your lot details and maximum bid carefully before submitting.
Our online bidding platform uses a proxy bidding system. You can enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay, and the system will automatically bid on your behalf in incremental steps only as needed to keep you in the lead, up to your limit.
2. Payment & Invoicing
At the close of the auction, winning bidders will automatically have their registered card charged, and an invoice/receipt will be emailed to you. Invoices must be settled fully according to the auction timeline.
Yes, applicable local sales taxes apply unless a valid reseller's permit or tax exemption certificate is provided and verified prior to the close of the auction.
3. Pickup & Logistics
Pickup details, including the address and pick-up times, are listed on every auction's landing page and detailed at the bottom of your winning invoice.
Please bring a copy of your paid invoice (printed or on your phone), a valid photo ID, and adequate boxes, packing materials, and help to load your items.
All items must be retrieved during the designated pickup window. Items left behind after the pickup window closes may be subject to abandonment fees, storage charges, or resale without refund, as outlined in our terms of service.
We offer shipping for select smaller items. If shipping is available for a lot, it will be clearly noted in the item description. Buyers are responsible for the cost of packing, shipping, and insurance.
4. Liquidations, Consignments & Selling
An estate liquidation involves downsizing, clearing, or liquidating personal property—ranging from single-item collections to full households. A business liquidation focuses on commercial assets, surplus inventory, tools, equipment, or complete commercial closeouts. Both are structured to turn physical assets into liquid funds efficiently.
Not at all. While we handle traditional estate settlements, many of our liquidations happen during major life transitions while individuals are very much alive. This includes downsizing for retirement, relocating, transitioning to assisted living, blending households, or restructuring/closing a business. We handle every situation with the utmost respect, discretion, and care.
We handle everything from single-item consignments to full estate and commercial liquidations. Reach out via our contact page with photos and a brief description of your items or project to schedule an initial consultation.
Payouts, minus our standard commission split and any agreed-upon fees, are typically processed and disbursed within 14 to 21 business days following the completion of the auction and collection of all buyer payments.
